About This Event
Join us at Sapsucker Farms in Mora for an introductory foraging workshop with Maria Wesserle of Four Season Foraging. We'll be learning all about the different native plants and mushrooms suitable for medicinal and culinary use, and how to identify them. Foraging has been around for centuries and this program will touch on the ethics of preserving plants for future generations.
Please note: there will be no physical harvesting at this event. A camera (cellphone or otherwise) is recommended, along with weather-appropriate clothing for being out and about in the weeds. This event is intended for adults, but children under 12 are welcome and do not have to register (please be mindful that the class's size determines the program's effectiveness).
This event is made possible by the Friends of the Mora Library.
