About This Event
If you’re a forager who would like to hone your plant identification skills, then this workshop is for you! Join Maria Wesserle of Four Season Foraging as we learn how to identify wild edible plants of fall. We will talk some about plant uses, but the focus of this class is to gain a deeper understanding of plant identification. Much of the time will be spent observing, sketching, and journaling about plants. Suggested age 16 and up (those under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.)
This workshop is part of a two part series. You can take as many (or as few) of the classes as you would like. The first session will focus on leaves and the second session will focus on fruits, nuts, and seeds.
Meet at the corner of the Midtown Greenway (north of Lagoon Ave.) and James Ave S. (See map here.) There will be a sign that reads “Four Season Foraging.”
Accessibility: This event will be held on mostly even ground with short grass, as well as on a paved trail. Total distance traveled will be around a half mile.
Sliding scale $17.50 - $37.50.
