Did you know that it is now legal to harvest certain fruit and nut species in certain areas of the Minneapolis Parks? Join Maria Wesserle of Four Season Foraging and Ryan Seibold of Hiawatha Food Forest as we learn about (and hopefully harvest!) one of those species, the serviceberry. We will also discuss recent changes to foraging and urban agriculture laws in Minneapolis Parks, as well as updates to the Hiawatha Food Forest.

Meet in front of the Lake Hiawatha Recreation Center, 2701 E 44th St, Minneapolis, MN 55406. (See map here.) There will be a sign that reads “Four Season Foraging.”
